Many ALS clinical trials limit participation to patients who are within 24 months of disease onset. Many patients waste over a year and precious resources down a path of red herrings before a neurologist finally says, “You have ALS.” Do the arithmetic. The window of opportunity for qualifying for a clinical trial is brief. Time is of the essence once a person is diagnosed with ALS.
The National ALS Registry
The Registry has supplemental surveys from time to time to capture environmental or risk factors. The sooner you self-enroll, the sooner that you will be eligible to have your data captured in their supplemental surveys, too. We’ll never connect the dots without patients’ help in collecting as many dots as possible.
